Welcome 2009
Welcome to the Whalley Range Cricket Club website.
Our first team had some success in 2008, reaching two cup semi-finals and finished fourth in Premier League. By finishing fouth we qualified for prestigious Lancashire cup.

We are always on the look out for new players, in particular the 1st team is keen to enlist the services of a genuine WICKET KEEPER. An overseas amateur in this role would be welcome. Whalley Range CC are currently working towards Clubmark accreditation which they hope to achieve this season.
June 29th Update. Overall, another excellent week at all levels, with the U12s winning a cup semi-final off the last ball, and the 1st and 2nd teams both winning at the weekend to go second and top respectively in their divisions.The U15s won an excellent game against a powerful Urmston, whilst the U11s second string dispatched Sale that same morning. The U13s lost to Timperley, and the Midweek XI suffered a batting collapse and lost to one of the league's weaker teams. The Third XI had no game. On Sunday, the annual President's Day went swimmingly, with softball and tennis activities before the 30 over match, between the Presidents Men (former players and committee members) and Current Players. There were heroics and humour, as well as some gritty competitive cricket, and the President's men won with an over to spare.
